FINE ART SUMMER CAMP 2025 (Ages 5-16) - FULL DAY 9AM-4PM

Materials Fee: $230 (per session)

Registration Fee: $85

*Fees are already included in the class price

Teaching staff will introduce art campers to a myriad of age-appropriate FUN FINE ART SKILLS, AND CONCEPTS that AIAVAP is known for, and why AIAVAP won the coveted NYC WIDE BLACKBOARD AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN FINE ART EDUCATION THREE TIMES! They will guide campers through a variety of art-making applications in diverse mediums such as graphite pencil, colored pencil, markers, conte crayon, chalk and oil pastel, charcoal, watercolor, and acrylic paint. All color mediums will incorporate color theory lessons.

Along with working in our SUNNY ART STUDIO, and BACK YARD, our teaching staff will take campers to Central Park to do PLEIN AIR drawing and painting by observing the beauty CENTRAL PARK has to offer weather permitting. TOPICS EXPLORED will be inspired by viewing, and discussing, master artworks from artists past to the present day in order to inspire, imagined or artworks from observation. Campers will be taught FINE ART SKILLS and CONCEPTS such as line, line quality, surface tension, shape, form, perspective, and color theory while drawing and painting from observation, and/or imagination.

YOUNGER CAMPERS, ages 5 to 9 will be offered the option to CREATE WEARABLE ART they will paint their compositions on t- shirts and caps. OLDER STUDENTS, ages 10 and up WILL BE OFFERED THE OPTION TO WORK ON THEIR ART PORTFOLIO TO PRESENT TO ART HIGH SCHOOL AUDITIONS. ALL THIS IN A VERY SUPPORTIVE, RELAXING ENVIRONMENT.
